HP Tidy Tech Kiwi

Each New Zealander contributes on average at least 20kg of e-waste to landfill every year*. By taking positive action, we can all help to reduce our footprint and move towards a more circular economy. HP's Tidy Tech Kiwi program partners with NZ schools to collect, reuse and recycle unwanted technology from families, teachers and administrators.

How HP Tidy Tech Kiwi Works

Drop off your unused technotogy such as Laptops, Desktop Computers, LCD Monitors, Digital Displays, Cell Phones, Printers and any associated cables and chargers

All devices will be assessed and provided with a dollar value, with all money raised going back to the participating school

All devices will be securely wiped, refurbished, and distributed to those in need

Devices with no value will be responsibly recycled

How does it work?

During collection hours communities can donate working devices that they no longer use, along with any associated chargers and cables, to participating schools.

Once the collection bins are full, donated devices will be collected, value assessed and 100% of the proceeds donated back to each individual school.

What can you donate?

Your unwanted technology, such as;

  • Laptops,
  • Desktop computers,
  • LCD monitors,
  • Digital displays,
  • Mobile phones,
  • Printers,
  • any chargers and cables

Where do the recycled e-devices go?

The refurbished devices are sent to developing nations, like Kenya and Tanzania, to improve access to IT equipment for schools and business start-ups.

Any devices that can't be reused are recycled in accordance with HP Planet Partners Programme
